The ATU Can-Am Conference is an exciting and comprehensive four-day educational conference. Attendees from across Canada and the USA will discuss matters impacting their local unions, exchange ideas and join in solidarity as we face more sophisticated challenges. 

This year the conference will take a deeper dive into critical issues of the hour, including:

• The Fight Against Global Privatization of Public Transit
• Failure of Privatization
• Fit for Duty: Legalization of Marijuana & Other Drug Related Issues
• Campaigning to Win & Organizing the Unorganized
• The Relevance of Unions
• The Impact of the Janus Ruling

Delegates will also have the opportunity to participate in the Triennial Election of the Can-Am Conference Board.

AFFILIATION

We invite Locals who are not members of the Can-Am Conference to join us. Please complete and return the enclosed Affiliation Request Form by April 23, 2019.

In 2013 at the Can-Am Executive meeting, the Board voted to establish the Annual ATU Can-Am Journal to help fund future conferences and provide a historical record for future leaders, so they remember the struggle of the past and look forward to a brighter future.
